学問の神様として知られ、七つの尾を持つ「七尾の霊亀」を祀る神社です。境内には霊亀が安置されており、願いを書いた紙を亀の背に乗せてひしゃくで七度水をかけることで諸願成就を祈る参拝ができます。御朱印のほか、願い紙や珍しい授与品も頒布されています。
