取手駅から近く、小高い山に位置する静かな雰囲気の寺院です。三層構造のさざえ堂は内部が美しく清掃されており、順路に沿って巡ることができます。案内板が少ないため、坂道や階段の入り口を事前に確認しておくとスムーズです。年に一度の御開帳では、丁寧な御朱印の授与や堂内公開が行われます。
