国宝の金堂は、中世禅宗仏殿として最大規模を誇る圧倒的な存在感があります。初夏にはアジサイが咲くなど、季節の草花も楽しめます。お正月三ヶ日の間は、普段は閉ざされている金堂に入り、ご本尊のお薬師様を間近に拝むことができます。
