What visitors say
The grounds are lush with greenery, and passing through the massive torii gate reveals a terrain resembling a small hill. The rugged and powerful aesthetic beauty of features such as the lava-formed mountain and the bases of the komainu (lion-dog statues) are highlights. The atmosphere is calm and solemn, and the location is easily accessible from the nearby shopping district.
