History
It was formerly one of the Seven Shrines of Shitennoin and served as the Ujigami (local tutelary deity) of Kubo Village. In 1907 CE (Meiji 40), Inao Shrine and Kumano Daijingu were merged into it. The shrine was destroyed by fire during the Great Osaka Air Raid of 1945 CE (Shōwa 20), but the shrine buildings were rebuilt in 1952 CE (Shōwa 27).
