水神門から続く石段を登る道には、茶屋や芭蕉塚、御本坊跡、伊弉諾稲荷神社などの見どころがあります。階段はかなり急で、夏場は汗をかくほどですが、この道を歩くと願いが叶うという伝承があることも知られています。
