最上三十三観音霊場第二十一番札所として、細い石段を登った先に観音堂があります。静寂な森の中にあり風情がありますが、階段は急で息が切れるため注意が必要です。御朱印の授与があり、冬場は除雪の関係で登れないこともあります。周辺に駐車場はないため、路駐での参拝となります。
