1568年に創立した薬師如来と十二神将を本尊に安置する曹洞宗の寺。野沢菜発祥の地として知られ、野沢菜の原種を販売する。

温泉街の賑わいから離れた、ひっそりとした静かな雰囲気の寺院です。山門や本堂の彫刻には古刹の趣があり、鐘を撞くこともできます。野沢菜の由来に触れられる場所として、周辺の散策コースにも適しています。なお、御朱印の受付状況については、時期や場所によって異なる可能性があるため注意が必要です。
