History
The exact date of founding is unknown, but it is said to have originated from a thatched hut built by Ryogen. During the Eiroku period, when Takatsuki Castle was rebuilt under the command of Takayama Ukon, this land was granted to him and the temple was relocated. The monk Kenku Toujun was invited from Komyo-ji to serve as the founding abbot. He established the main hall, and later, auxiliary buildings such as the kitchen and the Kannon Hall were added.
