高台に位置し、境内からは星川の街並みを一望できます。境内は手入れの行き届いた庭木や桜があり、木造の山門や本堂、鐘楼などが並びます。急な坂道を登った先にあるため、徒歩での参拝は体力を要しますが、周辺に店舗がない中で仏花を販売している点も便利です。
