特別公開では、加藤晋や水田慶泉による個性豊かな襖絵や、十二支を模した石組の庭園を鑑賞できます。行者堂には、青緑の色が残る見事な役行者像や不動明王、弘法大師の像が安置されており、見どころの一つです。本堂前の縁側は狭いため、庭を眺める際は注意が必要です。
