新選組の隊士や山南敬介、沖田総司の縁者が埋葬されている寺院です。門の横にある小扉から入ると呼び鈴が鳴り、供養料を納めて参拝が可能です。境内には新選組の墓を記した石碑があり、案内書を受け取って墓地へ向かうことができます。御朱印の授与も行われています。
