毛越寺の庭園内にある立石や出島は、平安時代の作庭の様子を伝える景観です。東日本大震災の影響で傾いた立石は修復され、現在は元の姿に戻っています。池の水を取り除いた際に確認できる、島の斜面や周辺に丁寧に並べられた玉石の石組も見どころの一つです。
