函館どつく前電停のすぐそばに位置し、路面電車や車が通る賑やかな環境にあります。境内には海の守り神としての歴史を感じさせる遺物や、函館山七福神の恵比寿・弁財天を祀る御堂があります。参拝の際には社務所で御朱印や記念スタンプ、とろろ昆布が授与されることもあります。
