History
It is said to have been founded in 1533 CE (Tenbun 2) by Gyokuzan-bo in the Oomuro district of Arato Village. In 1719 CE (Kyoho 4), Yu-so from Senju-in on Mount Idaruyama in Shimotsuke Province became the 11th abbot and established the temple under the name Imamiyayama Masuda-ji Renge-in. In 1888 CE (Meiji 21), a replica of the main statue from Kawasaki Daishi was enshrined here, establishing it as the first branch temple of Kawasaki Daishi.
