天龍寺の曹源池を抜けてこの門へ出ると、竹の小径への近道となります。トロッコ嵐山駅から竹林を散策しながら参拝するルートもおすすめです。なお、再入場はできず、入場料が必要なほか、境内内はペットの同伴が不可となっています。
