石清水八幡宮の表玄関にあたる立派な門で、朱塗りの柱と白壁のコントラストが美しい堂々とした佇まいです。近年、改修によって朱色が非常に鮮やかになりました。門前には樹齢700年を超えるといわれる大きなカヤがあり、見どころの一つとなっています。
