石段を上がった先にある南大門をくぐると、雄大で幻想的な空間が広がります。境内は静寂な雰囲気に包まれており、門の左右には仁王像が安置されています。門から二天門を望むなど、建物配置の趣を感じながらゆっくりと参拝できる場所です。
