境内は手入れが行き届いており、小綺麗で趣のある雰囲気です。秋月藩黒田家歴代の墓所や、歴史的な事件のモデルとなった人物の墓所が立ち並んでいます。御住職が兼任されているため閉まっていることもありますが、外からのお参りも可能です。
