門前には樹齢1000年を誇る巨大な楠があり、境内は手入れが行き届いており静かで落ち着いた雰囲気です。拝観料を支払うと、坑道を進んだ先にある「まぶ湯」を体験でき、お地蔵様に患部をかけてお参りする習慣があります。駐車場は無料ですが、道が狭い点に注意が必要です。
