Yoshimi Kannon Anrakuji
吉見町御所374
A temple of the Chizan sect of Shingon Buddhism, also known as Yoshimi Kannon. It is designated as the 11th station of the Bando 33 Kannon Pilgrimage and is also included in the Kanto 88 Kannon Pilgrimage.
History
The temple's origins date back to the Nara period, when the monk Gyoki enshrined a statue of Kannon. It is said that in the early Heian period, Sakanoue no Tamuramaro constructed the main halls. Later, Minamoto no Noriyori built a three-story pagoda and other structures, but these were destroyed by fire during a military conflict. The temple was revived in the early Edo period by the monk Gyoukyo.

What visitors say
The temple grounds feature impressive architectural structures, including the main hall, a three-story pagoda, and a Niomon gate, all enveloped in a solemn atmosphere. The scenery of seasonal flowers and the pond is beautiful, and the approach path is lined with dango (rice dumpling) shops and direct sales outlets, creating a well-maintained surrounding environment. Goshuin (shrine/temple calligraphic seal stamps) are granted by direct handwriting.
