九戸城跡の曲輪に位置する高台の神社で、境内からは周囲の眺望を楽しめます。境内には拝殿のほか、神楽殿や稲荷明神社、郷土の英雄を祀る神社などが点在しています。周辺には駐車場やトイレがあり、バス停からも徒歩圏内ですが、駅からの道中には坂道や階段があるため注意が必要です。
