上名倉地区の鎮守として地域に親しまれており、ひっそりと佇む社殿があります。境内には大きな杉の木があり、裏側の荒川では学校行事などで芋煮会が行われるなど、周辺環境と調和した場所です。毎年4月には例大祭が開催されます。
