〒801-0855 福岡県北九州市門司区門司3492
Located at the northernmost tip of Kyushu, this shrine features structures built by Ashikaga Takauji and Ouchi Yoshihiro. It enshrines deities believed to grant blessings for traffic safety, safe childbirth, and the prosperity of descendants.
What visitors say
This shrine boasts an overwhelming location directly beneath the Kanmon Bridge, where visitors can feel the spray from the Kanmon Strait and strong winds blowing from the continent. Highlights include the stunning view of the bridge from the torii gate and the stone lanterns facing the sea. The Goshuin (calligraphic seal stamp) distribution area has a simple, modern design, and omikuji (fortune slips) shaped like pufferfish are also available.
