A Jodo sect temple located in Kuki City, Saitama Prefecture. Its mountain name is Kotoyama and its temple name is Tenryuin.
History
This Jodo sect temple was founded during the Engi era (901–923 CE). In 1590, Tokugawa Ieyasu granted the local area to his vassal Naito Masanari, and the Naito clan has held ownership of the temple ever since. A treasure box pagoda (Hokoin-to) from the fourteenth generation of the Naito clan still remains today.
