History
Zenko-in is said to have been the retirement residence of Nichiren-sect monk Nichio and is believed to have been founded during the Muromachi period. The founder was Kato Kusunoshirō. During the An'ei era, Kigen-in Nichimei restored the main image, the Three Treasures Venerable. The current main hall was rebuilt in 1970 (Shōwa 45).
