こじんまりとした境内には、市松模様の地面や龍の意匠を施した趣のある手水場など、独特の風情があります。春には椿や桜、夏には蓮が咲き、季節の草花を楽しめます。入り口は急な坂になっており、境内には歴史を感じさせる石塔や、真言宗では珍しい大師堂が点在しています。
