豊島八十八ヶ所霊場の第28番札所であり、御朱印の受付があります。境内にはハンセン病の患者を支援した歴史を伝える碑や母娘遍路像、大きな木などが点在しています。広々とした立派な寺院で、道路拡幅工事に伴う塀の工事が行われていた時期もありました。
