History
With the patronage of the Mōri clan, the temple was moved to Yoshida during the Tenbun era (1532–1555 CE) and relocated to the foot of Mount Mitaki in 1590 CE. It was moved to its current location in 1604 CE by Fukushima Masanori. In 1934 CE, the Sanyō Buntokuden Hall was constructed to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the death of Rai Sanyō.
