山道は綺麗に整備されていますが、高低差があり、往復には体力を要します。ケーブルカーの延暦寺駅から下り、明王堂より少し下の位置にあり、静かな環境です。見真大師の木像が安置されており、修行の拠点としての側面もあり、落ち着いた雰囲気で参拝できます。
