明日香村の山間にある、目立たない場所に位置する神社です。境内には藤原鎌足の生誕地を示す石碑や産湯の井戸、母親の墓とされる古墳などがあります。駐車場はないため、近隣の駐車場から歩いて向かうのが便利です。周辺にはひまわり畑があり、のどかな雰囲気の中で参拝できます。
