小高い丘の上に位置し、境内には鎌倉時代に遡るものとされる古い石地蔵が安置された地蔵堂があります。住職の在宅時には御朱印の授与が可能で、毎月21日の夕方には法要が行われています。周辺では遺跡の調査が行われることもあり、歴史を感じさせる落ち着いた雰囲気の寺院です。
