こじんまりとした場所に位置しており、境内には神社の歴史を刻んだ石柱があります。周辺は通り抜けの場所のようですが、境内から獣道を通って天神山城趾へ登ることも可能です。駐車場は近隣の志方八幡宮を利用するのが推奨されています。
