石動山の山頂に位置する小堂で、登り切った際の達成感が得られる場所です。山頂付近の眺望はあまり良くありませんが、整備された石段や周辺の遺跡を辿りながらの参拝が楽しめます。春のブナ林や晩秋の景色など、季節ごとに異なる風情を感じられる環境です。
