Osugi Daimyojin

History
In 796 CE (Enryaku 15), Kaiken constructed a shrine building within the grounds of An'on-ji Temple, which came to be known as Osugi Daimyojin. In 1241 CE (Niji 2), the deity Imamiya Okami from Murasakino, Kyoto, was enshrined here, and it was subsequently referred to as Imamiya Osugi Daimyojin. In 1652 CE (Keian 5), two large lanterns were donated by the fourth shogun, Tokugawa Ietsuna.
