This shrine enshrines Hikite-rikio-no-Mikoto, who is revered as a guardian deity of the sea by fishermen in Suruga Bay. Every year on April 4, a major festival is held where boats flying flags for a bountiful catch gather.

Located on Oosezaki, a promontory jutting out into the sea, this shrine offers an open atmosphere with stunning views of the ocean and Mount Fuji. The precincts feature shrine buildings adorned with exquisite carvings, as well as numerous donated fishing boat models and ema (wooden prayer plaques). Visitors can also enjoy sacred landscapes that blend with nature, including the Divine Pool—one of the Seven Mysteries of Izu—and impressive sacred trees, such as a large camphor tree.
