〒319-1221 茨城県日立市大みか町6丁目16−1
Located in Hitachi City, Ibaraki Prefecture, this shrine is also known as 'Ookame Yamatofumi Jingu'. Its main hall (honden), enshrining the deity Hayatsumashira-no-Mikoto, stands atop the mountain peak of the Yado-dama-Ishi (Soul-Hosting Stone).
History
According to shrine tradition, it was founded in the first year of the Imperial calendar (660 BCE). In the 8th year of Genroku (1695 CE), by order of Tokugawa Mitsukuni, the lord of the Mito Domain, the shrine was relocated to its current site atop the Yado-dama-Ishi, which serves as the Iwaso (stone altar) of the deity Kameboshi-Kakase-o. It was designated as the protective shrine for the villages of Kuji, Minami-Takaya, and Ishinasaka.

While direct access from the national highway is possible, the parking lot is narrow, so utilizing nearby parking facilities is convenient. The shrine grounds are spacious, offering a unique landscape that blends with nature, featuring a distinctive worship style where visitors climb up rock faces using chains, massive rocks, and free-range local chickens.
