Founded in 1404 CE (Eyo 11) in Yose Village. Although it was destroyed by fire during times of war, it was rebuilt in 1448 CE (Buan 5) by Osekita Tada-masu. In 1576 CE (Ten-sei 4), it was relocated to its current site following the transfer of the residence of Osekita Taka-masu. It serves as the family temple for the Osekita clan, and the graves of successive generations of the clan are located in the surrounding mountains.
