東福寺の塔頭の一つで、桔梗の寺として知られています。桃山時代に作庭された枯山水庭園には、夏には桔梗、秋には紅葉が楽しめます。庭園は通常非公開ですが、特定の時期に特別公開されるほか、夕方のライトアップも行われています。静かな雰囲気の中で庭園を眺めながら、落ち着いた時間を過ごせます。
