Modeled after the Meitai Shrine of Mount Tsukuba, which was worshipped during the Toyoda Castle era, this shrine was founded in 1575 CE (Tensho 3). In 1734, it was granted the rank of Shichi-i (First Rank) by the Yoshida family, who served as the head of the Bureau of Divinities.
