History
Established in 1891 as a Kōmon-ha church, it was founded by Nichiō, the 56th High Priest of Taiseki-ji, the head temple of Nichiren Shoshu. In 1900, it left the Honmon-shū sect and participated in the establishment of the Fuji-ha branch of Nichiren-shū. However, in 1982, the 6th abbot was excommunicated for violating the doctrines and regulations of Nichiren Shoshu. Currently, a monk of Seishinkai occupies and resides in the temple, and his occupancy is recognized during his lifetime by court decision.
