歴史を感じさせる立派な建物が残っており、静かな雰囲気の中で参拝ができます。かつて火災に見舞われましたが、現在は本堂の再建が進んでいます。山門前には季節ごとに色づく銀杏があり、参道を進むと隣接する天桂院へも向かうことができます。
