善光寺の裏手から山を登る道は急な坂道ですが、境内からは善光寺平を一望できる絶景が楽しめます。境内には重厚な社殿や、夕焼け小焼けの歌のモデルとされる鐘、桜など見どころが多く、落ち着いた雰囲気が漂います。駐車場は坂の下にあり、御朱印の受付も可能です。
