History
It originated from a Shakyamuni hall built within the residence of Saeki Minbu Yoshiharu in the early Kamakura period. In 1446 CE (Kōji 2), Saeki Hayate Yoshikuni converted to the Hokke sect, and in 1578 CE (Tenshō 6), Saeki Rokuyaemon Yoshitsune completed the temple complex and named it Anryuji. From 1691 CE (Genroku 4) onward, the mountain name was changed to Mount Fagong.
