1450 年頃に創建された禅寺。磨き上げられた床に周囲のもみじが映り込む「床もみじ」が有名である。

漆黒の床に紅葉が映り込む「床もみじ」や、市松模様の庭、美しい襖絵、可愛らしいお地蔵様など見どころが豊富です。夜間拝観ではライトアップも楽しめます。駐車場は一般車用とバス用があり、入場料が必要です。境内にはトイレや売店もあり、季節ごとに訪れたくなる洗練された空間です。
