毎年秋の彼岸時期には、虫干しに合わせて国宝級の書や掛軸、仏像などの寺宝が一般公開されます。特に刺繍で作られた大きな曼荼羅や涅槃像などは見どころです。境内には「柏崎日記」の著者である渡部勝之助の墓があり、歴史的な遺墨なども所蔵されています。
