門前には「はせを留杖ノ地」の碑があり、山門の脇には芭蕉句碑が2基建っています。境内には、芭蕉の旅に同行した立花北枝の作とされる芭蕉の木像や、それが収められていた葛籠が伝わっており、希望すれば見学することが可能です。
