丘の上に位置し、本殿前からは吉野川や遠くの山並みの見晴らしが良いのが特徴です。社殿へは急な階段を登る必要があり、手すりが設置されています。境内には独特な石垣や大きな岩盤があり、歴史を感じさせる厳かな雰囲気が漂っています。なお、駐車場はありません。
