住宅街に溶け込むような落ち着いた雰囲気の寺院で、赤い立派な仁王門や鐘楼、本堂が建っています。入口付近には、人間のような顔と牛の体を持つ「狛件（こまくだん）」と呼ばれる独特な石像があり、見どころとなっています。本堂脇には英一蝶の墓もあり、芸術的な要素を感じられる境内です。
