住宅街の中にひっそりと佇む、境内が綺麗に手入れされたお寺です。河童に説教をした住職がいるという河童伝説で知られており、法要でキュウリが配られるといった話もあります。所沢七福神巡りの第1番札所でもあり、駐車場も完備されています。
